Flagship Word Unscrambler
Anagram Solver
About WordUnscrambler.online
WordUnscrambler.online is a fast, mobile-friendly anagram finder that runs entirely in your browser — no accounts, no tracking, and your letters never leave your device.
Type your rack and search exact anagrams or shorter sub-anagrams. Use a question mark (?) for blanks, and narrow results with optional filters.
- Filters: starts with, ends with, contains
- Dictionaries: TWL06, SOWPODS/CSW, ENABLE, or All
- Sorting: A–Z, Z–A, length, or frequency
Great for Scrabble®, Words With Friends®, Wordfeud, Jumble, and crossword fills — and handy for teachers and learners exploring prefixes, suffixes, and word families.
Lightning-Fast Anagram Solver
This free anagram solver turns jumbled letters into real words in a blink. It supports exact
anagrams
(use every letter) and rack sub-anagrams, handles blanks with ?, filters by
starts/ends/contains,
and sorts results by A–Z, length, or frequency. Everything runs locally in your browser for speed
and privacy.
How to Use It
Type your letters (for example, listen or listen? if you have a blank) and press Search. Results appear grouped by length; tap any word to copy. Hitting Enter while the input is focused re-runs the search with your changes.
Exact vs. Rack Mode
The “Use all letters” switch controls the mode. On = exact anagrams (same length as your rack, blanks allowed). Off = rack sub-anagrams, which find shorter playable words using a subset of your tiles, great for tight boards and hook plays.
Precision Filters
- Starts — force a prefix to fit board hooks or clue stems.
- Ends — land suffixes like -ing, -ed, -er right where you need them.
- Contains — guarantee that a specific letter (or two) shows up in the result.
Smart Sorting
- A→Z for quick scanning.
- Length to surface long, board-spanning plays first.
- Frequency to try common, natural words before obscure ones (Zipf list, lazy-loaded).
Dictionaries Supported
Match your table or app with the right lexicon: TWL06 for North America, SOWPODS/CSW for international play, and ENABLE for many word games and puzzles. Not sure? Start with “All” and narrow only if your group specifies a list.
Example Walkthrough
Rack: rstepla?. Turn on “Use all letters” for exact results. If the board needs a
lead-in,
put that in Starts; chasing a tidy finish like -er? Add it to Ends. The
blank is
placed automatically wherever it scores best within valid words.
Tips for Better Plays
- Don’t sleep on short hooks—two and three letters can outscore long words on multipliers.
- Spend blanks to fix clunky racks; save high-value tiles for premium squares when possible.
- Use Contains to force problem letters (Q, Z, J, X) into candidates when you need a swing.
Speed, Privacy, Reliability
Word lists and indexes are cached in your browser, so repeat searches feel instantaneous. Searches happen entirely on your device—no logins, no tracking— and the interface is tuned for phones and desktops alike, with respect for reduced-motion settings.
Popular Uses
Players use this anagram solver for Scrabble®, Words With Friends®, Wordfeud, Jumble, and crossword fills. It’s also handy for teachers building spelling challenges and for learners exploring prefixes, suffixes, and word families.
Troubleshooting “No Results”
- Loosen one filter at a time (usually the suffix).
- Switch off “Use all letters” to see rack sub-anagrams.
- Try the broader “All” dictionary if your list is too strict.
